Ecosia’s total income this month was €722,269 .
We invested €341,582 into tree planting which equals to 47% of our income and 80% of our surplus. Reserves* €87,544
Operating Costs €219,251 We put some money aside as reserves for bigger investments, as a buffer for unforeseen issues or to grow our user-base. Our reserves are parked at an ethical bank (GLS Bank) where they help finance e.g. renewable energy projects. If we don’t need these reserves anymore, we will dissolve them and put them back into our tree planting budget.

Ecosia wants to plant as many trees as possible. This is why we use all of the income which is not needed to run the company to support reforestation efforts. Every month we use at least 80% of our surplus to finance tree planting projects. On the next page you can see how we spent the money this month. We use a share of our income for paid advertising in order to reach more people so that we can eventually plant more trees. Of course, we are very mindful about these investments and it is our aim not to waste money that could otherwise be used for planting trees. * Ecosia does not pay out any dividends to its owners. Therefore all profits stay within the company and will eventually either be invested or used for tree planting.

Costi operativi € 219.251 Abbiamo messo da parte alcuni soldi come riserve per investimenti più ingenti, come tampone per problemi imprevisti o per far crescere la nostra base di utenti. Le nostre riserve sono parcheggiate presso una banca etica (GLS Bank) dove aiutano a finanziare, ad es. progetti di energia rinnovabile. Se non avremo più bisogno di queste riserve, le scioglieremo e le rimetteremo nel nostro budget per piantare alberi.

 Ecosia vuole piantare più alberi possibile. Questo è il motivo per cui utilizziamo tutto il reddito che non è necessario per gestire l'azienda per sostenere gli sforzi di riforestazione. Ogni mese utilizziamo almeno l'80% del nostro surplus per finanziare progetti di piantagione di alberi. Nella prossima pagina puoi vedere come abbiamo speso i soldi questo mese. Usiamo una parte del nostro reddito per la pubblicità a pagamento al fine di raggiungere più persone in modo che possiamo finalmente piantare più alberi. Naturalmente, siamo molto attenti a questi investimenti ed è nostro obiettivo non sprecare denaro che potrebbe altrimenti essere utilizzato per piantare alberi. * Ecosia non distribuisce dividendi ai suoi proprietari. Pertanto tutti i profitti rimangono all'interno dell'azienda e alla fine verranno investiti o utilizzati per la piantagione di alberi.
